Post-launch patch notes

Initial post-launch fixes

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the guided tour would not start after a user selected "Yes" when prompted.

  • Fixed user tier not updating correctly in the user list after a membership or tier purchase.

  • Removed duplicate contact form that appeared twice in the footer.

Improvements

  • Dataset owners now receive a notification when a dataset upload has completed.

  • Renamed the "Free" label on datasets to "Public" for clarity.

  • Datasets, prompts, and other gated features now display locked/greyed-out buttons for users who do not have access.

  • The platform now defaults to Light Mode on first load.

  • Kaleidoscope boards and related content are now visible to logged-out users. Posting and replying require an account.

 

 


 

Datasets, forums & profile improvements

Bug fixes

  • Fixed buttons on the dataset page displaying incorrectly for logged-out users.

  • Dataset descriptions and researcher contributions now render correctly on the product page.

Improvements

  • Sharing the portal on LinkedIn now displays the correct title and description preview.

  • Dataset URLs now include a name-based slug, making them more readable and shareable.

  • Datasets owned by dummy accounts are now openly accessible to all users 

  • Uploaders can now credit additional contributors when submitting a dataset.

  • Country codes can now be specified when uploading a dataset.

  • A theme can now be selected when uploading a dataset.

  • Added a "Report dataset" option for flagging inappropriate or inaccurate entries.

  • Thread owners can now edit their posts on the forum.

  • Thread owners can now delete their threads, including all associated replies.

  • Admins can now move threads between boards.

  • "Account Settings" has been renamed to "Profile" throughout the platform.

  • Kaleidoscope is now visible without being logged in. Posting remains restricted to signed-in users.

 


 

Blog section

New features

  • Introduced a public-facing Blog section. Posts are accessible to all visitors.

  • Blog navigation added to the main navbar, with posts organized in a sidebar and rendered in a content panel to the right.

  • Dummy account data limits expanded.

 


 

Pods, monetization & UX cleanup

New features

  • Introduced Pods — group spaces users can follow and interact with.

  • Users can now follow themes, other users, and Pods.

  • Dataset names and metadata can now be edited by the owner after upload.

  • Latest forum threads are now surfaced on the Kaleidoscope page.

  • Screenshots in skills and blog posts can now be opened and viewed at full size.

  • Rich text editing enabled for blog posts and skills.

Bug fixes & improvements

  • Fixed cluttered and misaligned UX at the top of thread pages.

  • Increased backend file size limits for uploads.

  • "Back to Marketplace" link renamed to "Back to Ecosystem."

  • Cleaned up navbar clutter.

  • Fixed dataset count displaying differently depending on login state.

  • Account button resized for better visual balance.

 


 

Moderation, navigation & Pods

Bug fixes & improvements

  • Archiving a report in the moderator queue now hides the associated content (post, message, or thread reply).

  • Navbar order updated to: Home, Kaleidoscope, Ecosystem, Workspace, Knowledgebase. Links are now properly aligned.

  • Added a "Request a Pod" button on the /pods/ page. Users can submit a request including a logo, pod name, and pod type (Company, Group, Team, Organization, Agency, etc.).

  • Fixed sort options on the Ecosystem page (/marketplace/) — relevance, quality score, and other sort modes now function correctly and the dropdown is properly aligned.

  • Added a direct link to the dataset upload page on the Ecosystem browse page.

 


 

Notifications, notebooks & user profiles

New features

  • Public user profiles now display uploaded datasets, profile picture, bio, and public findings in a tabbed layout.

  • Users can now follow themes and groups.

  • Curated datasets and associated notebooks can now be downloaded together as a package.

  • Paid users can now load full datasets in the notebook, rather than sample data only.

  • Admins can now reset passwords for any user from the Admin Dashboard.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed Pod invite emails incorrectly using the general platform invite template instead of the Pod-specific one.

  • Notifications for invites, joins, and thread replies are now working correctly.
